I am search ing for the parents of Calvin Charles Edmonds. Calvin was born in
1823 in TN. His parents were born in VA according to the census data. I would
also like to know his siblings-if he had any. Calvin raised his family in Wright
County Missouri. He died between the 1900 and 1910 census. Any information

Benjamin Cayse was born 12-1-1887 in Casey County, Ky and died 12-9-1959 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio. Mary Alice Chloe Smock was born 3-12-1889/90 in Danville, Boyle County, Ky and died 12-15-1972 in San Diego, San Diego County, California. I live in northern Idaho and have found references to obituraries for my 2nd great grandfather and mother and a great uncle in the Salt Lake Tribue and Deseret News. I have had no luck with getting them on interlibrary loan or finding them in any local library. Is there any lookup service or library that will make copies of these obits. Hello! I'm to the point I want to cry and pull my hair out. Everyone I ask can't help me decipher who or what when my G.G.G.grandmother was and when she had my G.G.grandfather! We aren't sure now the she was born in Westport Mass. Maybe she was up in Maine. Her name was Almeda Macomber. She was born in Westport, Mass. May 7, 1807. She married Nathan Tripp. I believe she may have had another son Nathan. But my g.g.g.grandfather was born June 1836. I believe he was born in Cornville Maine. But when you look for info on this Almeda Macomber they have her married to William French and she was having HIS children at the time my grandfather was supposedly born! With all the searching I have done, Almeda is not that popular of a name. Jonathan Macomber married Mercy Leadbetter and they had three daughters. They lived out on Vinalhaven Maine. Then they moved inland to Camden and that is where he died in 1899. If I could just find the right Almeda I could move on. I appreciate any kind of help or advice you could give me. Thank you again. My great grandmother on my mohter's side was Natalie Mae Swanson, born around the turn of the century. She had a daughter, Phyllis Mae Swanson, born Aug. 25, 1920 who was my mother. They lived in Duluth, Minnesota. My mother was raised by her aunts (names unknown), and had a half sister by the name of Joanie (last name I think was Johnson). Joanie was born around 1940. She would be my aunt. I have never met Joanie and would live very much to find her. She has three nieces and one nephew who would like very much to meet her. If you know anything about her whereabouts, please contact me. My mother lost contact with her sister when she married and moved to California. My mother died several years ago and I doubt that Joanie is even aware of mom's death.
I am looking for information on my grandfather whose name was Robert Springer. I never knew him. His son, Robert Mitchell Springer (my dad) died in 1990, and I'm trying to find out about my grandfather. My dad's mother was Mabel Rowe. She divorced my grandfather and married Harry Rowe. They lived in California. I am also trying to find information on my grandmother, Mabel Rowe, who died in the 60's I think. She had 12 children, some of them Springers and some were Rowe's. There was Harvey Springer and Robert Springer. On the Rowe side, the only names I can think of are Joyce, Pat, Chuck, Naomi, Bud (which is a nick name I think). Suthard/Souther-For a lot of years I have been researching my ggg-grandmother-Sophia SOUTHER-b-01 Apr 1800(I've been told in Ashe Co, Nc) m Daniel David Taylor 30 Oct 1822 in Rockingham Co, Nc-d 08 Jun 1884 in Alleghany Co, Nc and they are both buried in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Laurel Springs, Nc. I found their marriage bond that gives her name as SUTHARD. I have looked in every census in Nc and cannot find traces of her parents or her until after she is married. The 1880 Census I found them in gives her birth place as NC. My mother was born Feb.14,1927 in WVa. She was adopted by THOMAS AND LILLIAN BROWN, at approx. 3mos old. Her mother died when she was around 8yrs old and her father followed when she was around 11 yrs of age. She was sent to live with an aunt and uncle. Her given name is Audrey Virginia and her TWIN BROTHER's given name was Aubrey unknown if it was changed. Audrey was ADOPTED by THOMAS AND LILLIAN BROWN and AUBREY's unknown. They were BORN FEB.14TH 1927. Audrey lived in Beckwith with the BROWN's until after their deaths and then FAYETTEVILLE WVa with VIVIAN and EARL DECKER (Lillian's sister). John Duncan born around 1800 in Ohio. At some point he emigrated to the UK and settled in Glamorgan, South Wales. He worked as a collier for the rest of his life. He is noted in the Glamorgan census in 1841 where he has a wife and child so we deduce he was in the UK at least a couple of years before this. in the 1851 census he describes his place of birth as "Island of Mushegan" (sic)his place of birth in 1871 is Ohio. His youngest daughter returned to the USA in the 1880s with her two young sons David and John Thomas (?Duncan). Her name was Mary Ann Thomas although it is believed she may have reverted to her maiden name. Thought to have settled in the PA area. Many thanks Kim
