Great site! I'm looking for William D. McMannis b. 1861 in PA d. 1931 in PA, buried Melrose Cemetery, Bridgeville, PA. Married Francis M. Dennis, b. 1868 d. 1954 buried same cemetery. Children: Alice McMannis/Sturgeon b. 1895 in PA, d. 1983 in PA buried with husband William in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald, PA; William Ralston McMannis b. 1899 d. 1962 in PA; & Everett McMannis b. abt. 1890 in PA. Francis Dennis was my great-aunt. I would love to contact some of her ancesters.
Just looking for some interesting information on my family heritage. I am 21 yrs. old and I live in Frederick, Maryland but used to live in Washington, Pennsylvania. I attend Towson University in Baltimore Maryland and am just interested in any information about the McManus family.
Trying to find out information about Kathleen McManus. Her mother, Lillian Cody, died recently in North Carolina. I saw Kathleen McManus in her mother's obituary. The Codys grew up around the block from us in Hamilton Square, NJ and I was saddened to see that Kathleen had passed. She would be my age - 36 - and apparently had two little children. Edwaed Magennis (brother of Francis)---Jennie m.? Murphy---Anne m.? O'Connell---no info on others---Parents and other siblings remained in either Ireland or Scotland. I am a direct descendant of Frank Mc Manus who came to the U.S.A. in the early 1800's He married Jane Ford December 17, 1809. They raised ten children. Some of them emigrated to Mexico and some stayed behind. Seeking parents of Rachel McMANIS b. Feb. 5, 1799 in unknown. Married Daniel RADCLIFF Aug. 29, 1819 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. Daniel was treasurer of Clinton County, Ohio and employed cabinetmakers. He and Rachel died Princeton, Bureau County, Illinois. Their children were Mary b. abt. 1826 Sarah b. unknown George M. RADCLIFF b. 1828 Clinton Co., Ohio m. Lucy King in La Salle County, Illinois and died Merced, California in 1891.
My father grew up in Lancaster, Ohio and most of his close family still resides there. May the Mcmanis name, however many variations live forever.

Married Eliza Morrow, moved to Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland date u/k. In particular William McManus born about 1877, emigated to Hamilton, Ontario date u/k. I'm looking for any information on a McManus family from the Iowa area who lost a son or brother in the mid 1940's. He was in a branch of the United States service and died in a plane crash.
