- Mrs. Cheryl C. Tewksbury (Savage), aged 50, of
Comstock Park, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, March 3, 1998 at her
home. Surviving are her husband, Darwin Tewksbury; children, Rebecca
Savage of Charlotte, Philip (Christine) Savage of Lake Odessa, Carrie
Savage of Charlotte; stepchildren, Patty, Lorrie, Mike; six
grandchildren; brother, Mark (Gloria) Norris of Pensacola, FL; sisters,
Karen (Skip) Dowding of Springport, MI, Sue (Larry) Mead of Mulliken,
MI. She was a member of the Honda Riders and the Gold Wing Road Riders
Association. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday at the
Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave., N.E. at Three Mile Rd.
Interment in Fairplains Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet her
family at the chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday. REYERS NORTH

- Willie L. Tewksbury. "The many friends of
Willie L. Tewksbury were saddened to learn of his death on Thursday
night, April 25th at 7 o'clock following a short illness of blood
poisoning, at the Plummer Memorial hospital. Mr. Tewksbury was a man of
sterling character and has a host of friends who regret his passing. The
deceased was born in Belfast October 15, 1875, the son of William S.
Tewksbury and the late Estelle Campbell Tewksbury. Forty-one years ago
the family moved to this town and the deceased has always lived here
since. For over 25 years he has been in the employ of the Amos Abbott
Woolen Co., where he has always been an expert in his line. Twenty-three
years ago Mr. Tewksbury was united in marriage to Alice M. Ordway of
Exeter. He was a graduate of N. H. Fay High school with honors and
attended the University of Maine for one year. He was a kind neighbor
and will be sadly missed in the community on the Dover road, where he
resided. He was very prominent in Odd Fellow circles, having been a Past
Noble Grand of Plymouth lodge and Past Chief Patriarch of Silver Lake
Encampment. At the time of his death he was financial secretary. Besides
his wife, Mrs. Alice M. Tewksbury, he is survived by an aged father,
William S. Tewksbury, of this town, three brothers, Aaron and Ralph
Tewksbury, of Dexter and Ervin, of Parkman, by two sisters, Mrs. Ella
Huff and Mrs. Carrie Lancaster, both of Dexter. The family have the
sincere sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o’clock at the First
Baptist church, Rev. W. H. Johnson officiating. The Odd Fellows and

- Mrs. Bessie B. Tewksbury, 56, wife of Ralph V.
Tewksbury, died at her home on the Dover Road, December 25, after
several years of failing health. She was born in Corinna the daughter of
Charles F. and Emma Libby Bates, but the family moved to Dexter soon
after, and she spent the rest of her lifetime in this town. Before her
marriage she was a very successful teacher in the schools of Dexter and
nearby towns for a number of years. Surviving are her husband; a
brother, Carl Bates; a sister, Mrs. Earle Sawtelle; two nieces and two
nephews all of Dexter; and two aunts, Mrs. Della Shorey, of Corinna, and
Mrs. Clara Benfield, of St. Petersburg, Fla. Funeral services were held
Monday afternoon at the Crosby funeral parlor the Rev. J. K. Halliday of
the First Baptist Church officiating. The bearers were Carl Bates, Earl
Sawtelle, Clifton Lancaster, and Carl Tewksbury. Interment will be at

- Donald G. Tewksbury, "79, of Sycamore,
Illinois passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2000 at Kishwaukee
Community Hospital in DeKalb. Born August 8, 1921 in Sycamore, he was
the son of Glenn and Florence Tewksbury. He married Betty Geisler on
April 30, 1960. Donald "Bean" was an avid golfer and a longtime Bears
season ticket holder. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He owned and
operated the Uptown and El Matador in Sycamore and was retired from the
Sycamore Post Office. He was a member of the Masons, Elks, Shriners, and
VFW of which he was a past commander. Donald was a loving husband,
father, grandfather and friend to many. He is survived by his wife,
Betty; children, Linda (Ned) Kaisher of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Sandy
(Ray) Garrett of Sycamore, Timothy (Paulette) Tewksbury of Sycamore, Kay
(Gordon) Thompson of DeKalb. Cindy (Tony) Noplos of Sycamore, Kent
Tewksbury of DeKalb, and Jacqueline (Dan) Miller of Sycamore;
grandchildren, Brad (Janet) Carls, Chad (Gigi) Carls, Kourtney and
Jayson Kaisher, Tiffany and Amanda Meadows, Sarah , Julie, and Dean
Tewksbury, Colleen (Donald) Butts, Timothy (Lori) Casey, Karie (Jason)
Sullivan, Dana Lay, Tandon, Trisdon and Tashony Noplos, Brittney
Brackman and Koulton Miller; a sister, Jeanne Overlee of Aurora,
Colorado; a brother, Al Tewksbury of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; nieces and
nephews; and his best buddy, Bo, the cat. He was preceded in death by
his parents and his first wife, Eva Tewksbury, in 1950. A memorial
service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 30th at the
Sycamore United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson Avenue, with The Reverend
Gregory Eaton, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery,
Sycamore. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service
Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the

- Dorothy Tewksbury "DERRY - Dorothy "Dot"
"Mimi" (Andrews) Tewksbury, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, in
Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, after a sudden illness. She was
born April 16, 1923, in Raymond, the daughter of Fred and Marion
(Counter) Andrews and had resided in Derry for 54 years. She was a 1941
graduate of Raymond High School and a 1944 graduate of Elliot Hospital
School of Nursing. Mrs. Tewksbury worked on the cafeteria staff at
Gilbert Hood School, Derry, from 1971 until her retirement in 2002. She
had previously been a nurse at Exeter Hospital from 1944 until 1948 when
she retired to raise her family. She enjoyed spending time with her
family and telling stories from her youth. She is survived by one son
and his wife, Stephen and Polly Tewksbury of Chester; one daughter and
her husband, Susan and John Madden of Londonderry; seven grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Gelinas of Raymond; her former
husband, Richard Tewksbury of Laconia; and several nieces, nephews and
cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Peabody
Funeral Home, 15 Birch St., Derry. Burial will follow in Forest Hill
Cemetery, in East Derry. Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile

- Phyllis C. Tewksbury NEWBURYPORT, Mass. -
Phyllis C. Tewksbury, 70, of 18 School Street, died, Thursday, July 10,
1933, at her home after a sudden illness. She was born Feb. 14, 2003, in
Derry, the daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Proctor) Boles,
and had been a resident of Newburyport for 15 years. Mrs. Tewksbury was
an attendant at Pinkerton Academy and owned and operated a health food
store in Derry and later owned and operated the Women’s World Health Spa
in Seabrook until her retirement. She enjoyed stenciling, painting and
sailing and loved dogs. She is survived by three daughters; Debra
Tewksbury of Hampton Beach, Nancy Tewksbury of Newburyport and Susie
Tewksbury of Plum Island, Mass.; one son, Nelson Tewksbury of Seabrook;
one granddaughter; two brothers; William Boles of Concord and Douglas
Boles of Londonderry; seven sisters, Barbara Barka of Londonderry, Judy
Sturnes of Seattle, Wash., Gail Gorham and Linda Dupere, both of Derry,
Carol Chantclear of Londonderry, Deborah Clark of Seattle and Brenda
Middlemiss of New York; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial
services will be held Tuesday at noon in Atwood Park, School Street,
Newburyport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for the
care of Nancy Tewksbury, 18 School Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
